From consult to clinical notes, in five steps
- Open the consult, go to AI Tools, and select AI Scribe.
- Link it to your computer or phone microphone, and record the consultation as normal.
- When you’re done, stop the recording and select Yes, transcribe.
- VetDrive produces a transcript on one side and structured SOAP notes on the other — the transcript pulls out what’s clinically relevant rather than including every word said in the room.
- Check the SOAP notes, edit anything you want, and click Insert into Report to add them to the patient record.

The transcript captures the clinically relevant parts of the consultation and isn’t editable — it’s the record you can go back to later if you ever need to check exactly what was said. The SOAP notes AI Scribe generates from it are editable, so you can adjust wording, correct anything, and insert exactly what you want into the report. Nothing gets added to a patient record without a vet reviewing it first.
